FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Contractors always seem to be delayed. How do I know you will show up when you say you will? Paver Restore prides itself on clear communication but our schedule is regularly in flux due to weather and other factors beyond our control. Some of our clients are flexible with timing and others have very specific timeframes due to other commitments. While it is challenging to maintain 100% accuracy, we are able to prioritize the projects that are not flexible and work the flexible projects around them. Regardless of which category you and your project fall into, we promise to maintain contact with you, and if there have been any delays, or if we are ahead of schedule.

What happens if I have paid my deposit, but you can’t get to me in the calendar year due to weather? In the unlikely event that this happens, will give you the courtesy of priority booking for the following spring OR if you so choose, we will remove you from the schedule and offer you a full refund.

This costs too much. Can’t I just do it myself? With the intention of saving money, some homeowners try power washing their paving stones and applying polymeric sand themselves, only to end up with unsatisfactory results. They may even try to lift and relay some areas. For most of them, without proper training or experience, they end up spending more money in the long run. There are numerous factors to take into consideration when performing a restoration job on paving stones: Correct amount of water pressure (not from an electric/domestic gas pressure washer) proper washer attachments, stripping the joints deep enough for effective polymeric sand, proper consolidation of polymeric sand with a gas-powered compactor, splicing lifted and relayed paver areas with old sections, and much more.

Does Polymeric Sand really work? Even seasoned contractors are unaware of the subtle differences between the processes of the sand application from product to product. Most homeowners who have used polymeric sand themselves have failed to remove enough of the old jointing material for the new polymeric sand to be effective. Not to mention, improper application of water will result in the product failing. Paver Restore uses only the highest quality products in the industry and has extensive experience and knowledge on applying the product properly, so you get the best results possible.
